ceiling not a roof
outside in the rain i held my cup out
until it was filled with rain
then i went inside and dumped it on a plant
and the next day, as fast as it could without being a lie it grew
saying in plant language, "Here I come, ceiling!"
and the ceiling said, "Huh?"
and the plant said in ceiling language, "Watch out, I drink the
rain!"
and the ceiling called its mom and said, "Clear the junk out of
my room, I'm moving back in," because its mom always said, "Don't
mess with the rain unless you're a roof."
